Sweetpea's new social life also gave her the challenge to build her immune system. She's sick right now and I hope she will be fine pretty soon.

How can a child have a social life while being homeschooled?

That is exactly what this blog is all about. Homeschooling actually allows my husband and I to provide our child plenty of time and opportunity for social interaction and friendships.

Unlike schooled kids, Sweetpea could spend long days at the park with friends and gather with other kids for group activities at someone's home for the whole day. At this early stage of homeschooling, I am already thrilled to find out how this journey will come about. So far, so good.

WE ARE: The Holy Family Homeschool, committed to excellent intellectual and skills development within a solid American Catholic framework. Our curriculum is geared to foster growth of individual self-worth; to develop a love and commitment to our faith; to encourage knowledge and pride in one’s heritage; to develop an appreciation and respect for cultural diversities; and to develop a commitment of service to others.

WE ENVISION: our child to be loving, patriotic, spiritual and whole.

WE LOVE: The Roman Catholic Church, EDUCATION, Books, MUSIC, Art, TECHNOLOGY, Cultural Diversity, NATURE, our family & friends...

WE BELIEVE: that our child deserves the opportunity to learn without barriers. We take whatever is beneficial from each curriculum approach (traditional, classical, unit studies, child-directed) to maximize our child’s learning yet meeting or exceeding the minimum learning competencies required in the public schools.
